Absolutely Stunning. After taking a double take the first thing that came to mind was, "why is this man wearing lipstick?" Not to be offensive atll, but, then realizing that it was a woman the title of this shoot Beauty is Strencth reallly started to make sense. Why is that men and women get sterotyped for being strong or more feminie or masculine than the norm. But that definitely is not the point of this shot. Jenny Shimizu captures beauty and grace in this photograph as well as for the reason behind the lipstick. The lipstcik, Helmut Red, is launched by House of Exposure, and inspired by Poppy King and author/activist Periel Aschenbrand. The idea behind the whole lipstick, is that all proceeds go toward helping children who are affected by HIV in countries that have high rates of this disease.
